I have a JBJ auto topoff unit and the whole operation is relying on the position of the sensors. In the reservoir, no problemo. Got the hangers to position the sensors over the pump so as not to dry the pump.

My problem is ensuring the sensor in my sump stays put. Can't hang it and have to rely on that suction cup. Scary.

See the pic below. Focus on the area to the right where the eggcrate and white foam is. 2 questions:

1) this is the right place for the sensor to sense evap?

2) can I put silicone on the cup to ensure it stays put? or is there another way?

P.S. - Ignore the bioballs. Won't be using them. There'll bu miracle mud and sand in the fuge area.

I'm pretty sure you want it in the last compartment with the return lines not in the bubble trap area. Once you have the correct postition confirmed I think you sould silicone the suction cup in place. I would not trust it to stay put otherwise.

I'm waiting on your review before buying one.
