Should i starve my cichlid fry?

I always starve my cichlids 1 day a week to help clean them out and prevent boat. I only feed once a day with the adults but I have been feeding my fry smaller amounts(what they can eat in about 1min two to three times daily. Should I starve them I day a week? If not how old should they be before doing so. They are about three weeks old now and only 1/4-1/2 inch

No, you shouldn't. IMO only adult fish should be fasted.

No dont fast fry. They need to be fed three times daily every day until about 1-1.5 inches.

Thanks for info that's what I thought but have never raised fry before and I rather not learn these things the hard way
