My male betta hasn't eaten in three days. He is starting to become dull and his fins are not as pretty as they were. He is also starting to form stress stripes. All of this started after his couple of failed attempts to build a bubble nest which kept popping. Some advice would me much appreciated.

What are you water parameters? What size tank? Any tank mates? Is the tank heated, filtered and cycled? Lets see if we can get to the bottom of what is bugging him.

The ammonia was a little high, did a few pwc, it's filtered heated, there is a female Betta, they have been together for a few weeks no aggression

He may be stressed with the female there. They really will only "tolerate" each other without aggression for a short while before it gets ugly. They should only be housed together during breeding.
