I have just found a single platy fry hiding in the corner of my tank. It’s the second time I have found just one . I am pretty sure the female red high fin platy is very pregnant …. So … have put the little fry in a separate container inside the tank so it’s safe ….. but am concerned about the potential mummy platy and whether to put her in a separate area ? I don’t want to stress her .
Will any of my existing stock eat the fry if I don’t get to them quick enough? 1 Red Discus/3 High Fin Platy./ 2 Corydoras/ 6 Cardinal Tetras/ 1 dwarf blue Gourami / 1 Vampire Pleco/ 6 Black Widow Tetras
My tank is 242 litres .

Discus are predators, so that fish could easily target fry. Even tetras will eat fry if they find them and they are young enough and small enough to get eaten. Basically if a fish fits in another fishes mouth, it is potentually food.
