Aquarium Advice Addict
Due to rearranging and some spatial requirements in our house I'm having to downsize my reef a little from my current 4' 120g to a Marineland 93g cube. With the current 120 i've had a ton of issues with the overflows surging and bulkheads leaking so i've decided that i'm going to try to do the cube as a sumpless tank (I know a fair amount of people advise against it and if I start seeing issues then i can throw a small sump in the stand). I have had a number of smaller all-in-one tanks and I've always liked how easy they were so I'm going to try to replicate the AIO setup from some of my other tanks into this cube. I'm making everything pretty easy to change or fix in the event that it doesn't end up working out. Needless to say that this build will be an adventure and there will be a lot of learning as I go.
Everything from from current setup will be going into the Cube so hopefully I can avoid as much of a mini cycle as possible. Other than the corals the only livestock currently in the 120 only is a cleanup crew and a 2" Yellow Watchman Goby.
This is the current 120g:
Here is the stand that I'm building for the new cube. The stands that are premade for these cubes are way to low imo so this stand will be 31" tall.
And the tank finally arrived along with the ABS to make the AIO portion:
More updates to come soon hopefully!
