Slate?

Want to make a cave out of some small slate pieces. I'm just wondering where to look for something like this.

Got any landscaping places near you? That's where I've gotten my slate, in the past.

My lowes didn't have any. How easy is slate to break into small pieces? Like <2 in size.

Also I want some clear plastic pipe or just a clear pipe. Any suggestions I what to use and where

Slate is pretty easy to break into smaller pieces. Just be careful for sharp edges. As for the clear pipe, I think you can get the tubes for rodents like hamsters and gerbils to run through. I know they make clear ones. If it doesn't have to be clear, you can use PVC pipe. Just be sure to rinse with water before placing in the tank.

I have made a cave from slate. It's pretty easy. I broke it up by just hitting it with a hammer. I used aquarium silicone that I bought at petsmart to hold the pieces together.
