Slate

Hi people, wonder if I can get some advise on putting Slate into a Tank.

I have the chance to grab an old pool table slate thats been damaged in a Pub (fool stood on it)

But I'm wondering if it will be safe for my fish tank? Outside edge is covered in glue to hold the cloth down. But the whole centre is free from glue/ Chemicals etc ? 6x3 slate

Before All-Glass aquariums came out, aquariums had a slate bottom. I would boil the pieces prior to tank introduction, but it should be okay. Just ensure that there is no glue attached.
