Small community killifish?

Well the clowns and gardneri have started a new addiction for me

10g planted tank with 6 pygmy rasboras and neo shrimp....are there any killies that would work in this setup?

Out of the dozen or so species of killies that I've owned the only ones that ever did fine with shrimp are clowns and diapteron species. All of the others immediately started hunting shrimp after adding them to the tank.

Thanks, that's kind of what I'm finding out while doing research. Think I might look into a non-splendens betta instead.

Betta albimarginata, rutilans and coccina are very nice choices.

Do you have any experience with dimidata or imbellis?

 

[Gillie]

I haven't kept dimidata, but they prefer cooler temps in the low 70s. When I had imbellis they were pretty aggressive much like wild type splendens and I had to treat them as such.
