I know the barbs are nippers.
I'm concerned about the pleco. It is 9 inches and really doesn't have a great place to hide - that may be the solution to the problem - I have to see if I can biuld him a 'garage'... I have pieces of slate in the tank, laid out to create tunnels and nooks but they are too small for the pleco.
I have a 75 gal tank with alot of Cichlids (they keep multiplying) and 10 tiger barbs. I had 5 large barbs and recently added 5 more smaller barbs.
The barbs all get along and the cichlids generally keep to thier rocks and hiding places towards the bottom of the tank. The barbs stay in the middle/upper regions but willl venture anywhere. It's the new, smaller barbs that are the troublemakers.
Thoughts?
