Smelly water?

I switched to fluorecsent lights today and as I took the hood off I noticed a small pungent smell, almost like a sewage smell. I don't even have fish or plants or anything in my tank yet, it is still cycling. Anyone know what could be causing this? Is it normal?

I think that would be the ammonia. There's ammonia in urine, hence the association with sewer smell.

Lol, well thanks ! I hope that is all it is, I wouldn't think it could be anything else because that is really the only thing that I have added tomy tank so far, besides some bacteria.
