Snails and java moss

Have a 20 gal java tank and snails are breeding in them . Will the moss be ok? I noticed some browning on some parts of moss is that from snails?

Probably not. Most snails won't hurt healthy plants. What you are seeing is probably an issue with the moss itself rather than with the snails causing shenanigans.
