I have a 55 gal, saltwater tank which has been set up since last October. I have only had 1 clown, 1 blue damsel, 1 diamond sleeper gobie and a shrimp in it since it cycled. I have noticed, over the last 2 months or so, a lot of very small snails, I realize they were probably hitchhikers on my live rock, but my question is, Can there be too many snails??? I removed about 25 today during a PWC and have them in a bowl. Should I pitch them or throw them back in? I notice there is almost never any algea on the glass anymore but I though algea, in small amounts, is good for a tank.
