Snails

I've got a 16 gallon bowfront and put some red ramshorn snails in and now i'm infested in them. Is there a way to get rid of these with out hurting my fish or breaking down the tank ?

You could intoduce assassin snails. I have a snail problem as well and this may be the method I choose but the shops here sell them for $6 each.

I had a similar problem with hitchhiker snails on plants. An assassin or two later and they were all gone. Only problem now I have loads of baby assassins. But they are much nicer to look at in my opinion
