I tried a coralife unit over my first setup. When I went to upgrade the bulbs to quality ones, it turned out that the coralife unit was only set up to take their oddly sized bulbs. Quickly ditched the unit and went the LED path.
I'd suggest the same...simply because one usually doesn't just stay soft coral only for long. One of the chinese knockoff panels will do for the tank.

About as good as it gets for a capable led panel. It will allow you to grow sps and lps if you choose later on.

If you're looking to save a few bucks you can get the same Chinese LED light without the brand name on eBay for $75-$80.

Thanks! Any links you could provide? Just wanting something to keep starter soft corals on my 29. Still very new to the hobby.
