I have recently found a red tint to the top of my live rock. I am fairly new at this salt water stuff. Just wondering if I should be doing differently. Is the red tint good or bad? Please help.

I guess so. I've had them in for a bout three weeks. Are diatoms bad... Is there a way to get rid of them?do I need to get rid of them?

They're not bad
And you don't need to get rid of them but they're just kinda unappealable to the eye lol
But ways to get rid of them are getting something like chemi pure elite or get snails

They will go away on their own as soon as they use up all the silicates in the sand
