Something on duncan coral

Moved the rock work in my tank today and noticed this "bubble" on the side of my Duncan. He is still closed up in the pic from the move....is is normally open and I spot feed him almost daily. Any clue what this "bubble" is?

Yep. Mine did that on all four sides and all grew into a great new head!

I started with a single headed Duncan and with a month or soot now has 5 heads growing on the side of the main. Do they drop of or multiply like shrooms? I'd like to be able to make a "colony" kinda setting for them, is that even possible?

They will not drop off, rather they branch off. Each head will begin to grow away from the main head.
