Splitting?

I got this coral from LFS. It looks like it is splitting? It has been a month this. Do I need to do anything? It looks painful for me.

Some corals in the wild use gravity and waves to split, in the tank they may need a little help, what coral is it ?.... Im on my phone cant quite see it

I really don't know, kind of mushroom?.
I finally gave them a cut, the lower one ran away & disappeared. The upper one is still as white as it is. Don't know why?
