Sponge Filter Working?

I see the tiny little specs of dust just slide by the filter D: Im not even sure if its functioning. I plugged everything in correctly. Not really sure if its working

What type of filter and pump? Length of air run?

Im not even sure i just bought a sponge filter not looking at the brand careless of me D:. The pump is a Million Air 2.5 Watt. length 45-50

the sponge filter is goes up to 20 gallons in my 5 gallon

Chances are the air pump is your limiting factor.
