Hi all,
I have a 57g freshwater which has been running for 6 weeks now. Water parameters are perfect - 0, 0, 10ppm. fish are in and no problems so far. it was an upgrade tank so was fully seeded with media and ornamants.

The problem i have is my plants, particularly my stargrass, have been getting brown/black tips and edges to the leaves.
They are growing but just do not look healthy.
They are planted in medium grade white aqua sand to a depth of 3 to 4cm. The lights on the tank, a Aqua one 980, are on 8 to 10 hours a day.

any help would be much apprieciated.:fish2:

No added ferts or CO2. lights - 2 x 8000k/30w super light and 1 x 15000k/25w Tri power light.

will plant tabs sort my problem?

Co2 and ferts will solve your problem, since they get most of their nutrients through the water column, and aren't big root feeders. SeaChem Plant tabs will help a little bit though, I personally like to use them under every plant in my tank.
