So my fish are getting large enough to consume feeder fish.

I dont want to go to the LFS weekly and dump 50 feeders in my tank at a time. I figure the best thing to do is start up a smaller tank and just breed feeders.

What should I start with?
Should I go with feeder guppies, rosies, silver-sides, or what?
What size tank? Can I grow them fast enough to supply as my fish as they grow larger?:fish2:

My current tank and fish info is in my bio.

:thanks:

I'm assuming you're talking about your bichirs, knife, and gar.
I think by hte size of your fish guppies would be fine. Maybe rosies for the knife/gar. I'm pretty sure a 10g would be fine. I would wait for someone else to come in and confirm this first though.

Bump
I did try 20 rosies, they were all eaten within 2 days.
15 within the first day.

The Bichers, and knife I know were gulping them down like macaroni & cheese.

Thanks for the reply KonvictKeeper!
