My S. repens is getting really thick. Its not growing tall at all. How much of the top do I need for it to root..?

I would say just enough to stay in the substrate, I never trimmed the carpet I had and it grew like a vine.

A little over half an inch of stem suffices usually and you only need 1 set of leaves for it to start growing.

Awsome..that's pretty much what I did. Great little plant. I have been looking for more of it in the classifieds here and there but always seem to be a little late or lack the extra arm and leg....

8.99 for about 10 stems, just picked up a pack but well grown and healthy. Some people have reported getting up to 40 stems, supposedly from it growing while in the pack.

The pack I got is all right in front of the amazon sword.
