Looks pretty stocked as is to me.

You could probably bump Kuhli to 6.

I'd do 8-10 neons.

Only 1 gourami per tank. No exceptions.

Ditch the neons and you could do an angel. In most cases they will become and Angel snack one day.

I have a friend who has huge Angels with neon tetras. Usually of you get small Angels and let them grow up with neons, they won't eat the neons when they get bigger.

I think you should do this:

6 cherry barbs
8 cardinal tetras (more expensive than neons, but are bigger, more colourful, and much hardier.)
6 peppered corydoras
2 German blue rams
1 dwarf gourami
1 bristle nose pleco
6 kuhli loach
MAYBE 1 angel

It really just depends on the personality of the angel. If they all grew up together it might work. There's another thread that just got past this exact conversation of Angels and neons.

If you do 2 rams make sure is a M/F pair. 2 males won't end pretty.

What do you want the ottos/BN for? If you want algae control go with the Ottis, bn are cool (I have one myself) but they are literal poop storms and don't really do a lot of cleaning in my experience.

How do you confuse 250 gallons with 55 gallons? What are the dimensions?

it was what the dude said it was but we went to put it by our oscar tank and found out it was a 250 by messuring it and put in a cuculater for aquarium size
8foot long 2foot wide x25inches high

Not sure how they missed a whole 4 foot difference but if u got the tank for that good of a deal and no cracks or leaks then I envy you lol

Holey smokes - sounds a good deal!

Yeah, do you have a picture of it or have you seen it filled with water? It's hard to believe someone sold a 250 gallon aquarium for $30...and thought it was a 55 gallon aquarium.

This is why I'm speculative about it. 4 feet is a huge difference

If it helps for comparison, I have in my 55:

15 corys (was 3 but they breed)
3 dwarf gouramis
2 dalmation mollies
1 common pleco
1 yellow dojo loach
1 african knifefish
1 pictus catfish

Common pleco and probably the Knifefish will outgrow that tank soon enough.
