just an idea get some plants small fish love to hide and school. They also love to eat. try to make water changes 1 time a week of about 50% or so (dont use tap water.).

Huh? What do you suggest if not tap water? I use tap water. Loads of people use tap water....

Tap water has chlorine and chlormimes in it you should only use it if you put a dechlorinator of some type in it. or if you let it sit for a day or two. unless you have well water or something of the sort.

chloramines won't gas out of the water, so letting it sit won't help anyway.

IMHO you should always use dechlor/conditioner- even with well or spring water. You don't know what might be in it and it's not worth it to learn by having sick or dead fish the next day when you could have just added some conditioner...
