20 gallon tank
3 bleeding heart tetras (gender unknown)
3 platys (2 females and apparently 1 male)
2 Cory (don't know gender)
1 dalmation Mollie
1 guppy (male)
1 snail
I know guppies and cories are schooling fish.
Can I, should I add more?
Can I avoid breeding by getting only male guppies or will that create too much aggression?
Since I can't tell gender on Cories, I would get whatever.
I would not do so until my readings are under control.
Tank established since late February.
I am buying a second filter because mine is only a 20 and my current stock needs a higher one anyway.
I have a lot of fake plants, a piece of fake hollow wood, and an abandoned house ornament. Either these could be great hiding places or too much to add more fish.
I've thought about upgrading to a 40 gallon tank with the petco dollar sale, but I think with the cost of the additional hood and light, it may be more cost-effective to buy a a starter kit instead.
Thanks.
