Strange Molly Behavior

I woke up this morning to find my molly sitting ON my heater and not really moving i thought she was dead at first, I budged her with my net and she ever so smoothly glided away to the bottom and sat there for a while.. she moved up to the top of the tank and started sucking on air ... she was breathing kinda of funny and hard too.

i put some food in the tank to see if she would eat at all and now shes swimming around just fine... the water is fine, and the temp is about 78*.... any ideas??? is my fish sick or just weird?

maybe her previous owner had her and a black male, the male was sucked up in the filter because the idiot left the screen off the filter..
