Strange Thing in My Tank

I think it is brown algae. How do you get rid of it??

I am currently having a bad outbreak of the brown algae as well. I bought 3 Siamese Algae eaters and they took care of the existing algae in a matter of days.

Otos are a good fix. This is usually the first algae to appear in newer tanks. It wipes clean quite easily.

When my tank was just two months old, brown algae covered everything. I was just diligent in wiping the glass regularly (easily came off) and after a few weeks it didn't appear again.

I guess I will get an algae eater. The stuff is on my rocks and my artificial plants too.
