Stress Coat Question

So my DG had this really weird spot in him, and for the life of me, I could not find anything to tell me what it was. I researched everything suggested on here, and none of it agreed. Looked at pictures of what was suggested. I decided to keep the water clean and see if anything happened. It kept getting worse almost by the day, so out of absolute desperation, I started a parasite treatment to do at least something for him. Hasn't helped. Last night it looked like the spot had opened and had nasties coming out. Best conclusion I got is he scraped himself on one of his spontaneous flashing sprees that have no reason whatsoever and got something in the scrape before I could see it. Did a water change last night and today got stress coat. It says to treat injuries, 2 tsp per 10 gallons. My question: how often do you add it?

Are you still using meds for parasites for your DG?

As for the Stress coat I would imagine it is good for a few days, but if you change and remove water, I would retreat, or maybe also every few days while he is having the sore.

How is it going with him?

Parasite treatment is done but he's not doing well. Not his annoying self. The sore hasn't changed at all lately. Idk what else to do.
