substrate change and tank move

i am thinking about changing my white crushed coral to black sand and moving my tank location. my plan was to drain the tank, but the african cichlids in a cooler and 5 gallon bucket, remove the old substrate and deco, move the tank, add the black sand, put the deco back in, add the water and the fish. DID I MISS ANYTHING or is there anything to add or be careful about? any advice is appreciated.

I'd try to keep some of the old water that's cleaner so they go back into more similar water not a total stress of change
