Hello all! I searched through the existing threads and couldn't find the answer to my question. We are starting our very first SW tank, a 12 gallon Nano cube, still in the very early planning/startup stages. We had purchased a bag of Hawaiian black sand just for the appearance, which we have not placed in the tank yet. However, we would like to get a goby or blenny once we're ready for fish, and from what I've read they can struggle with larger sand particle size. Can anyone weigh in on sand sifters and Hawaiian black sand? Thanks in advance! I'm sure it won't be my last question [emoji57] thinking of starting a tank setup thread as well just for kicks.

You don't want a very fine sub-straight your looking for something in the sugar grain size that way you don't constantly get sand storms.
