I got a small gold stripe maroon clownfish so my bigger one could pair up with it hopefully. I also got a green buble tip anemone. As soon as the clown went in, it paired up with the other one! Im so glad, and now there both hosting the anemone! Sometimes the 2 clowns will nudge eachother softly. Im so happy :D

speaking of which is there anyway to tell a male from female, I also want to do this?
by the way congrats.

They can change sex depending on the dominant one and the need for a mate. The bigger one is usually the female. The smaller one is the male.

I agree with Ntswift. Generally the larger will become the dominant female and the smaller will be male. Gold stripe maroon clownfish are my favorite clowns! Congrats!!
