Sump Help

I just recently acquired a 40g sump for my 135 fowlr tank. I am going to be running PVC to and from the tank. Is there any special aquarium glue? Or is your basic red hot fine. Do I need to run water through the pipes to clean out any harmful primer or glue residue?

I just used PVC glue and no there's no residue to clean at

I have a 225 tank and a 65 sump....with PVC.....just use PVC glue.....it will be fine
