I got this superman coral last week anybody have one of these ??

My question is from the photo how is it looking ?

Any thoughts

Yes it came on the rock

I've never had one before so wasn't sure how it should look

Is a pretty hardy monti. So keep you parameters in check and it should be fine And it like med- hi lighting and high flow. It will benefit for feeding with a good coral food.
 
That isn't exactly a "superman coral". That is a more common nickname for a monti, which paul covered.

That on the other hand is a meteor shower coral, a Cyphastrea.
 
No. It's in the Cyphastrea family.
Cyphastrea agassiz
Cyphastrea chalcidicum
Cyphastrea decadia
Cyphastrea japonica
Cyphastrea microphthalma
Cyphastrea ocellina
and Cyphastrea serailia, which I believe is the one pictured above.

LFS said it was a Superman :)

My parameters are perfect and going by what it looks like online it looks in great condition
 
I know it's crazy how many time they get stuff wrong

There is only one shop in Ireland that knowledge and they are a 3 hour drive from me :-(
 
You gain the knowledge and then you can embarrass them at will, and maybe catch a sweet deal here and there with mislabeled corals! ;)
