With a fowlr tank, do you still need to add calcium, iodide, strontmium, and trace elements, etc? I only have a few fish, a sally, cleaner shrimp, and a handful of snails and hermits. I'm new to the saltwater side and not interested in getting into corals yet. Thanks!

My understanding is you don't have to add any of that for a FOWLR tank. I have a 180g FO tank and the only thing I add is marine buffer to keep the pH up.
