surface skimmer question

Has anyone tried to hook up 2 of these surface skimmers from Hagen? I am going to be using my Fluval 304, and since there seems to be issues with strong filters (people breaking teeth off for greater flow), I thought that hooking up 2 into a t that feeds the filter might alleviate some of the issues.
at 8.49 from big Al's, plus some misc pvc, I think it might be worth it.
