Switching from sand to gravel in 75G

Hey I have a 75 gallon freshwater aquarium with a sand bottom is it easy to switch to gravel without taking out the fish? Any advice?

It is possible but it is pretty hard to remove the sand with water in the tank.

Use a container to scoop the sand that makes it hard for the sand to come out again like a pitcher or a large cup.

I would drain all the water out and remove the fish. The sand is going to make a big mess when you go to take it out, and the fish probably won't appreciate all the gravel raining down from the heavens.

keep the sand it's much better than gravel.........just my thoughts

Just ad some gravel atop the sand of you're looking for an updated look??
