I have two swordtail fry swimming around in a netted area in the same tank as the rest of the community fish. There is a lot of room for them to swim, and grow. Question is the size of them. There are only 2 in there, but one of them is twice the size of the other. One is 1/2 an inch long, and the other is 1 inch long, yet they were both born on the same day. They are both active fish, eating and swimming and pooping normally :? , but I am curious about the size difference. Any thoughts on this? Thanks.

The one inch fry got more food or ate more brothers and sisters then you 1/2 inch fry :D
That simple i guess.

You could probably move the one inch fry out of the net and safely into community tank....leave the 1/2 inch in the net for a couple more weeks....he should "catch up" quickly without competition for food. ;)
