Tank mates for neon tetras and shrimp?

I will never mix Shrimp and a Betta again unless its Ghost Shrimp. My Betta slaughtered RCS in a heavily planted 10g. I would not advise it.

C habrosus like floor space. I have mine in a 10g.

I realize it's risky and certaintly not optimal, depending on the individual betta. Any advantage to male vs. female or vice versa in this case?

Mine don't notice the GS. RCS are colorful targets.

Not all Bettas can be with other fish. I'd try a female over a male if you're not used to Bettas' body language.

After I replace the substrate in our tetra tank I'll think about introducing GS or Amano Shrimp as a cleanup crew.
