So the mollies in my ten gallon planted have a bit of ich. Not sure if my white molly does but the blacks do so chances are the white has it and I just can't see. I am beginning to raise the temperature for the heat treatment. Actually just put in the heater (i know, it should be in there anyway. but I am jobless and couldn't afford a new one for awhile). Now for my question. I also have four red cherry shrimp in the tank and was wanting to put some aquarium salt to aid in treatment but did not know if the shrimp are ok with salt for a week or two. I have read a couple sites and their views differed so I'm asking you guys. Can RCS handle salt?

You don't need salt to treat ich. All you need to do is:
Slowly raise temp to 86-88F.
Increase gravel vacs and water changes.
Leave the temp up for at least one week after last spot is seen.
Slowly decrease temp again.

Thanks for the info. Only raising it by 1 or two degrees every hour, though a break as i'm heading to bed.
