I have a soft coral frag tank with one 120 watt fixture. It is a 30 gallon plastic tank about 36" long. With the light hung 12" it doesn't cover the ends. I would buy two 90 watt fixtures if available, or two 120 watt dimmable if funds available, then you can dial them in as needed.
If you want even coverage, that would be best, or a longer fixture. Any interest in DIY? My son just put together a Cree rail light and it just required some soldering. You could make it as long as you wanted it to be.
I was thinkin about that but it just seems a little too technical for me, and the way i priced it, it would be just as much or maybe more. Ive seen a lot of success with diy crees though!
