My heater in my guppy tank isn't working very well anymore so I was just wondering if it would be okay if I ran the tank without the heater.

just know if the room temp is 72* the tank water temp is around 68* that's about a 4* drop it may even get colder at night .

I'm not sure how they would react to a cooler temp maybe someone else can give you a better answer .

if it were me I would still look into getting a new heater .

According to what I've read when considering a guppy tank, they can survive in water 68-79* F, but thrive at water of 74-78* F. I don't know how hardy guppies are, but IMO, don't chance it. Spend a few bucks for a new heater.

My parents ended up surprising me with a new heater for the tank so now it's all good.
