Poking at picking up a test kit to add to my growing list if items for my 120... Still haven't settled on one even after reading a bunch of threads on them. I see a lot of people using API but then hear how horribly unreliable they are, so I am questioning which one I should really get? I'm really looking for one kit that will test everything? Or should I piece it out to different companies if one companies test is better then another for a specific test?

I use salifert as well. Red sea I havent used yet but they come highly regarded. :)
for things like ammonia and nitrite where any color is an indication I use API

Thanks Carey... This is why I'm asking because I didn't see ammonia and nitrate testers in the redsea or seifert kits or am I missing something?

i use api master for basic tests and red sea master reef for cal, mag and alk. api is pretty accurate, for the basic tests, but i know the reef master kit is known for being inaccurate or hard to read.
