I've recently acquired a used 45 gallon aquarium that could use some touching up. There's chips on the outside, and the silicone on the inside looks pretty old. I got some "All Purpose clear silicone 1". It says 100% silicone and 100% waterproof, but on the back is says "Not for use below the waterline or in aquariums". Is this the wrong silicone?

EDIT: It sounds like a stupid question, but I thought I had seen this kind used before on DIY Fishkeepers. Of course, I could be totally wrong...

Not too sure, but I would think so. Lots of packages look nearly identical.

The one issue is a mildew inhibitor in some of them which I understands is toxic to fish.

For sure any that say mold and mildew protection, or similar words are a no no!
