Someone in my town is selling one of these, 90Gallon Zilla XL crittertank really really cheap. What Im wondering is if I could get a piece of glass and seal up the Vent hole in the back, of even use it as a return hole and have a Overflow pipe Somewhere. Wonder if a Mid mounted return would work for a tank

Heres a link of what it is

I think they make those with thinner glass since it's not made really to hold water. And sealing it up with a piece of glass seems sketchy. I wouldn't want something to go wrong and have 90 gallons of water on the floor. What's cheap? Cheap compared to that, b/c that's ridiculous! That tank is $500 w/ shipping and I could get a new tank and stand and maybe other things at the lfs for that price.

Agreed. I just got a 135 for 200. I had a friend that used a 30 gallon tank that was for lizards. The next morning the glass had cracked. No water leaked, but there was a large crack.
