Hi everyone! Sorry for asking and posting so much :ermm:
I'm just really excited to start my own cichlid tank :D
Now, I think demasoni are fantastic fish. And I want to add them to my 75 gal tank. (48x18x22)

I think I would stock with:

P. demasoni x 12
L. caeruleus x 5
P. acei x 5
(one more specie) x ???

Would this be alright? Also, can I add one more specie? If so, what would be good, and in what numbers?

Thank you so much :D

It may work, it may not.

The demasoni are significantly more aggressive than acei and caeruleus. I have ket them together in the past successfully with appropriate size groups but I have also seen it not work out.

I've had demasoni ,auratus , along with red zebras talk about a tank moving lol

Demasoni are really nice looking fish , but are quite aggressive .. But each fish is different ,

125gal Waiting for C/A cichlids , 55gal African Cichlids , 75gal "wet pet "oscar , 75 gal empty setting up for ????10gal & 56gal column cycled but no stock

Would have to agree and say the demasoni would be too aggressive. I know there can be exceptions but generally speaking these are one of the more aggressive malawi cichlid species.
