Thinking of doing plants

I have a 36g bow front fresh with a vc10. And orange scrible. Light is basic so I know I need to upgrade just don't know what kind is good. Filter is a biowheel hang on back. What all should I change out and to what to get started?

It depends o what plants you want to go with.
What is your substrate?
Do you want lo tech or high tech?

The stuff I got is the black gravil stuff that was good for plants. Can't think of what it was called though. Tank has been up for about a yr. Don't want to go extreme. But I do have a bad habit of starting small and then going big. So prob more along the high end.

I know I will need a co2
Lights. Will t5 be ok or will I need better
And what will I need to does and how much.

T5ho lights will be good also co2 u can diy some fertilizer tabs or liquid

Did you get the Eco complete?
And with t5ho you will need co2 to combat algae issues. But sounds like you are on your way. You can keep pretty much anything under those with co2 and ferts.
