Tiger barbs

Does anyone know if the green and platinum variety of tiger barbs will school with the normal tiger barbs? Thanks

Not sure but probably because they are tiger barbs even if they are different varieties.

Yes, they should school together. What is the number of barbs you have? The larger group, the less likely they will pick on other fish(if you have them in the same tank).

They will shoal together since they are the same species.

Thanks very much, I've got the normal yellow/black type x3. I've had them about 2 years and they've always been fine, I heard they are happier in bigger groups so wanted to up the numbers and was thinking about the other coloured types as options.

Try to add as like sized fish as possible. If your new barbs are significantly smaller than your current ones, you're likely to have trouble with them being bullied.
