Hello All-

It's 20 after one and I'm just checking my tank b4 I crash like I always do and noticed these tiny clearish oval-like looking bugs on my glass down near the substrate. They have like 6-7 legs on each side and 2 antennae near the top.

Never seem them before. Any ideas?
I'm thinking they may be Copepods? I did grab a big bunch of cheato for my fuge about 1 month ago from a 7yr old 125g reef tank....maybe that seeded my tank with them? If so....that's a good thing right?

Fairly new to hobby so I'm still learning. This Tank up for 6 months but had freshwater for almost 2 yrs b4 this.

Will certainly be a form of pod, could have come in with the chaeto, or with live rock if you have it.

A good thing, all part of the little Eco system in your salty box.

My guess is amphipod. Copepod are very small and hard to catch with your eye. Amphipods get about 1/4 inch big. Google it you will find some pics on different types of pods
