They're probably harmless but I'm curious to find out exactly what they are. Can anyone help to ID these little mischievous creatures?

Sorry for the blurry pics, these were the best shots I could get with a magnifying glass

Add anything to your track lately? Wood/decor from another tank with snails?

Well I have fed my puffer snails in the past but I can guarantee you that those are not snails. Was thinking something along that lines of copepods or something like that.

How do they move about?
If they crawl on surfaces and swim in a corkscrew or "fluttering" pattern, then I'd say Ostracods or seed shrimp. Or Gammarus species/amphipods.
If they dart in rapid straight lines, then perhaps copepods.
I've also seen aquatic mites. Just like the terrestrial ones. The crawl super slow.

Hmm. The bottom picture looks different than top. I think fresh nailed it. You can see the shape in bottom.

Looks like Scuds, they will eat everything especially moss.

I just got some in my grow tank that im gonna gas out this weekend with Co2
