tired looking new cory?

i got a cory a couple days ago and it just looks tired. it doesnt move much and is very light colored. the only thing i see wrong is it's gills are inflamed. maybe from petcos conditions? my test results are
ammo-0
nitrites-o
nitrates-0-5 got my test results mixed up between two tanks
how long does it take for a new cory to get accustomed to its new home?

Are you using strips or a liquid test kit? maybe your petco just had a bad shipment. Sorry my cories have never had problems, maybe u should wait for someone else to chime in

Hmm...it could just be a super sensitive Cory. How many other cories were in the tank? Ask Petco if they can test a water sample for you

i have 3 others and im not going back to petco until i get back from vacation. one thing i just noticed is i didnt turn the heater on after i did a 50% wate change

Cory fish are little tricksters, some more than others will play dead, act like their keeling over, etc.

I'm not sure what you mean by acting dead, if you mean as in it looks like their not breathing, them I know what you mean. It's true, they do participate in "interesting" group behavior...
