How long are the extensions (tentacles) on your toadstool leather corals? The top of mine has about a 2" diameter but the extensions are almost an inch long with white filaments at the tip.

Also, I have mine down low in the tank. Are there any issues if sand builds up on the stalk?

I dont think it will be a problem on the stalk but it will become irratated if it gets on the head.

Tentacles

I have two toadstools one is about 3" and the other 5" in diameter. They are my favorite! The tentacles on both vary from 1 - 1.5" that's what makes them my favorite.

Sand on the stalk shouldn't be a problem but debris collecting in the cup will. I occasionally use a turkey baster to gently blow the debris off the corals. Otherwise they will close up and go through one of the shedding routines.:-?

Good Luck and remember to have fun.
